Moving out of your comfort zone

Dr Helen Care shares her thoughts on how to challenge yourself.

In this video, Helen talks through a model to explain how we extend our comfort zone gently and in a way that doesn't overwhelm us.

"Most of us are up for a challenge. We want to try new things and we are ready to learn new things."

We may sometimes be worried about how much challenge we will get and wary about being tipped over into the 'overwhelm zone'. But if we don't try then we will be stuck in the very small comfort zone and that would be a shame. If we try new things and challenge ourselves then we can expand our comfort zone. It's a way of broadening our horizons and stretching what we are capable of. That has to be a good thing!
